Spring Nail Trends ft. Sally Beauty Supply

Spring is just around the corner. During this season, I love playing with bright colors and bold prints not only with my outfits but also nail designs. I had the pleasure to partner up with Sally Beauty to show you guys some of my favorite nail trends and colors for Spring/Summer 2015. (✿◠‿◠)

I went on a nail polish hunt at one of the Sally Beauty stores close by. The store offers wide varieties of nail polish brands, which covers 750 different shades. Since we are going for some fun spring designs, I decided to look for exotic and bright colors. One new brand that I discovered is FingerPaints, which is exclusive to Sally Beauty. I have heard many good things about FingerPaints, especially how the polishes are extremely long lasting and fast drying so I decided to give it a try!

Here are the 3 colors I chose, one from O.P.I, one from FingerPaints, and one from Orly.

Now, let’s get started to create 2 of my favorite spring nail trends with these new colors!

The first trend I want to show you guys is “Two-toned”, which mixes two contrasting colors to create a statement look!

 Step 1: Apply basecoat

Step 2: After basecoat has dried, place French Manicure White Tip Guides a little bit above the cuticle curve. Press firmly in place.

Step 3: Apply half of the O.P.I mint polish (“That’s Hula-rious”) and half of the FingerPaints pink polish (“Paint Be Happy”) to area below guide.

Step 4: Once the colors are dried, peel off the guide. Apply topcoat!

Finished Look! ♡.♡

Another trend I really love is “Exotic Brights”. It showcases bright nails appear in tropical shades. I fell in love with Orly’s “Gumdrop” when I saw it in the store. It is a gorgeous sky blue color perfect for the season. Here’s how I create an exotic brights look with Gumdrop:

Step 1: Apply basecoat.

Step 2: Carefully draw a straight line across it ½ of your nail.

Step 3: Fill in the color above the line.

Step 4: Apply topcoat & done!

Here are my two favorite spring nail designs using pretty polishes from Sally Beauty! Hope you all like them and the tutorial.
